Q.I am a “maker.” Can I have a project listed?
A.Of course. If you have not yet decided on a factory to mass produce your product then you can apply for a project and after the screening process we will have an interview with you (either in person or a video interview over Google Hangouts). We will make a decision based on the project creators and then introduce you to the most suitable small factory owner. This is the introduction service. After confirmation of the appropriate cost accounting and mass production with the small factory we can also help you with listing your project. (* Please note that when using the introduction service there will be an extra 5% added on to the normal 15% fee.)
Q.I want to start a project, but are there any restrictions?
A.Yes, anything offensive to public order or morality is not acceptable. If you are in a group, please select a representative. Our company has a screening process in place when taking applications, so if you are unsure please try and propose a project to see if it is acceptable. In addition, you must be 18 or over with a Japanese address and phone number and you must present the bank account of the representative as well as a form of identification issued by an official body (driving license, insurance card or student ID card).
Q.What is required to start a project?

Q.About how long does it take from when a project is proposed to when it begins to appear on zenmono?
A.It can take more or less time depending on communication and the time of year, but approximately 3 month.
Q.When will I receive the money from zenmono?
A.If the sum is under 200,000 Yen it will be within 5 business days after the last day of the patron application period. If the amount is equal to or greater than 200,000 Yen then it will be within 5 business days of the start of the month that occurs 2 months after the current month. The zenmono fee (including credit card fees) will be deducted and you will receive 85% of the attained sum. However, in the case that the Introduction Service was used the fee will be 20% and you will receive 80% of the attained sum.
Q.I have a project I want to start, but I don’t know how.
A.Please register your outline through “Start a Project.” After that you will be contacted by the person in charge of new projects for our company. Please feel free to start a conversation.
Q.Is there a listing fee?
A.There is no listing fee. Only in the case that the goal sum has been attained within the application period will you receive the support from the patrons minus 15% of the attained sum and the credit card fees. However, if you have used the Introduction Service the fee will be 20%.
Q.Is there a penalty if my project is not approved?
A.No, there is not. Just focus on the next project and keep on improving it! However, just because a project is listed does not mean that it will be approved. Proactively announce and advertise your project and together we will work hard to make your project a reality!
Q.What is compensation (thank you)?
A. zenmono is a purchase-format crowdfunding website. As a result, it is necessary to give compensation (thank you) to the patrons who provided you with financial support. Prepare some amazing compensation and your patrons will be pleased!
Q.Are there any restrictions to compensation (thank you)?
A.Please check the Terms of Service.
Q.Are there any restrictions involved in establishing the amount of the goal sum?
A.There are no restrictions, but please take advice from our staff in charge of projects when establishing a reasonable sum based on the details of the project as well as the compensation.
Q.Can I change the goal sum or the application period after a project has been listed?
A.That is not possible. These are both exceptionally important, so please think carefully before establishing them in the listing.
Q.After deciding to begin a project, is it acceptable to advertise on my own?
A.Yes! Please advertise proactively. Any activities to proactively promote your project to those who would participate in it rather than relying only on the features characteristic of crowdfunding will be a huge shortcut to making the project a reality.
Q. I want to financially support a project. How should I go about it?
A.Please support it on the details page of each project. You can select “Support (financial support)” from within “I want to support this project!”
Q.Can I remove my support after I have provided support (financial support)?
A.That is not possible. Before providing support (financial support) you will see a confirmation before payment. Please think carefully about whether you really want to support the project or not and take personal responsibility for your decision.
Q.How will I be charged for my support (financial support)?
A.A credit card (Visa or MasterCard) is required. We can also accept bank transfers. (Domestic account only)
Q.If the project is not accepted within its application period will the support (financial support) be refunded?
A.Yes, it will be refunded. If the project is not approved then there will be no charge to the credit card. In addition, in the case of bank transfer the money will be returned to a designated bank account via bank transfer from our bank (Rakuten Bank) minus the transfer fee.
